Kahoot! | Learning Games | Make Learning Awesome

Hi, we are Kahoot! We are on a mission to unlock the deepest potential of each and every learner, of all ages and in all contexts, and we do that by making learning fun, magical, inclusive, engaging and shareable through games.
We want to improve education all over the world and help everyone – of any age, aptitude or circumstance – unleash the magic of learning.
Our founding principles are Social, Play and Learning. Driven by our mission, we’ve built a game-based platform that creates an emotional, playful, engaging and truly social learning environment. Instead of looking down into their textbooks or devices, learners are encouraged to look up while playing and connect with each other – we call it a ‘campfire moment’.
For us, engagement is about unlocking everyone’s potential. It means bringing that student from the back of the class to the front and letting everyone become the classroom superhero.

How it all started

So, where did the Kahoot! journey start? A few years ago, several talented entrepreneurs with fire in their belly – Johan Brand, Jamie Brooker and Morten Versvik – put their heads together to make learning awesome. In a joint project with the Norwegian University of Technology and Science, they teamed up with Professor Alf Inge Wang, and were later joined by Norwegian entrepreneur Åsmund Furuseth.
Kahoot! has been around since 2013. Our birthday is dated March 2013 when Kahoot! was launched in private beta at SXSWedu. In September 2013, the beta was opened to public, and it’s been quite a ride ever since!
Building a company with learning at its heart, we chose to address the classroom first, but it seems game-based learning is now a pop culture phenomenon! Today, the Kahoot! movement spans far beyond classrooms: it is played in business training sessions, at sporting and cultural events, or in any social and learning context really.

The K!rew

We believe in giving our Kahoot!’ers the ability to exercise autonomy, mastery, and purpose – and we apply the same principles to our company organisation. We’re a vibrant, diverse, hard-working bunch who are passionate about building something truly amazing, and have a lot of fun doing so! We are an international team, fortunate to be located in some of the most exciting tech hubs in the world – Oslo (Norway), London (UK) and Austin (USA).

In 1987, the Soviet ambassador to the United Nations, Yuri Dubinin, arranged for Trump and his then-wife, Ivana, to enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to Moscow to consider possible business prospects. Only seven weeks after his trip, Trump ran full-page ads in the Boston Globe, the NYT and WaPO calling for, in effect, the dismantling of the postwar Western foreign policy alliance. The whole Trump/Russian connection started out as laundering money for the Russian mob through Trump's real estate, but evolved into something far bigger. ► In 1984, David Bogatin — a Russian mobster, convicted gasoline bootlegger, and close ally of Semion Mogilevich, a major Russian mob boss — met with Trump in Trump Tower right after it opened. Bogatin bought five condos from Trump at that meeting. Those condos were...
