In Germany, FC Bayern Munich - Bayer 04 Leverkusen (3-1), the opening match of the 2017-18 Bundesliga season, broadcast on the public-TV channel ZDF, drew 7.94 million viewers (audience share: 29.3%), on 18/08/2017 (kick-off at 20:30 CET). This was the best TV audience among the Top 5 European leagues (Premier League, LaLiga Santander, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Conforama), all channels combined. On pay-TV, Borussia Dortmund - FC Bayern Munich (1-1, Matchday 11) posted the best audience of the 2017-18 Bundesliga season with 1.78 million viewers on Sky Bundesliga, on 04/11/2017 (kick-off at 18.30 CET).

In France, Olympique de Marseille - Paris Saint-Germain (2-2, Matchday 11 of the Ligue 1 Conforama 2017-18), which drew 2.57 million viewers (audience share: 10.1%), on Canal+ on 22/10/2017, posted the best TV audience for a single pay-TV channel, for a match of the Top 5 European leagues in 2017-18. The game also posted the best audience for a Ligue 1 match since April 2015.

In Italy, Juventus - SSC Napoli (0-1, Matchday 34), which drew 3,356 million viewers on 22/04/2018 (kick-off at 20:45 CET), posted the best cumulative TV audience (two pay-TV channels) of the Top 5 (2.341 million on Sky Italia and 1.014 million on Mediaset).

In Spain, FC Barcelona - Real Madrid CF (2-2, Matchday 36) posted the best TV audience of the 2017-18 LaLiga Santander season drawing 2.357 million viewers on the pay-TV channel Movistar Partidazo (Telefonica group), on 06/05/2018 (kick-off at 20:45 CET). Audience share: 14.2%.

In the UK, Manchester United - Manchester City FC (1-2, on 10/12/2017 at 16:30 local time, 17:30 CET), broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, drew the best TV audience of the 2017-18 season with 2.176 million subscribers (1.571 million on Sky Sports Main Event, 605,000 on Sky Sports Premier League). Total audience share: 11.2%.
