Oversight%20Board%20to%20Facebook%3A%20We%u2019re%20Not%20Doing%20Your%20Dirty%20Work%20%7C%20WIRED: But%20the%20board%20did%20not%20play.%20While%20affirming%20that%20Facebook%20was%20correct%20to%20suspend%20the%20Trump%20account%20for%20its%20riot-coddling%20posts%20on%20January%206%2C%20today%20it%20called%20out%20the%20company%20for%20inventing%20a%20penalty%20that%20wasn%u2019t%20part%20of%20its%20policies%u2014an%20%u201Cindefinite%u201D%20suspension.%20The%20board%20told%20Facebook%20to%20take%20six%20months%20and%20get%20its%20own%20rules%20straight%2C%20and%20then%20make%20the%20Trump%20restoration%20decision%20itself.%0A%0AIn%20a%20press%20call%20following%20the%20release%20of%20the%20ruling%2C%20board%20co-chair%20and%20Stanford%20law%20professor%20Michael%20McConnell%20made%20it%20clear%20that%20the%20board%20was%20not%20interested%20in%20bailing%20out%20Facebook.%20%u201CWe%20are%20not%20cops%2C%u201D%20he%20said.%20%u201COur%20sole%20purpose%20is%20to%20hold%20Facebook%20accountable.%u201D%0A%0AThe%20practical%20effect%20of%20the%20ruling%20means%20that%20Trump%20won%u2019t%20be%20back%20on%20Facebook%20for%20a%20while.%20Much%20of%20the%20nation%20will%20breathe%20a%20sigh%20of%20relief%2C%20and%20others%20will%20continue%20to%20believe%20that%20the%20ban%20is%20part%20of%20a%20liberal%20plot.%20But%20the%20decision%20may%20well%20be%20the%20defining%20moment%20for%20the%20putative%20Supreme%20Court%20of%20Facebook.%0A%0A
