@ D Conference: Stringer: The Guy Trying To Make Sony Less-Sucky: "That’s the impression you get hearing Sony CEO Howard Stringer speak at the D Conference…he knows all of what’s wrong with his company’s products. Very frank and ever ready to admit his company’s faults.

On Da Vinci Code and how it was not liked by critics but liked by viewers: Nobody ever built a statue to a critic

Sony Connect, what went wrong: There was nothing wrong with the aspirations of Connect. It was a Japanese-American two-headed hydra. No one knew who was in charge…the American side thought Japanese side knew the technical expertise and the Japanese side thought Americans knew what they were doing.

I wish we could have WSJ officially podcasting the interviews…this was probably the best interview I’ve heard in a long time, and I got so into listening it that forgot to take notes. Anyway, will link to other bloggers when they have their posts up.
