Advertising giants Omnicom, Publicis call off $35-billion merger - The Globe and Mail: The biggest merger in the history of the advertising industry is dead.

On Thursday, Publicis Groupe and Omnicom Group Inc. announced that their $35-billion (U.S.) "merger of equals" will not be going forward.

The deal, announced last summer, would have created the largest marketing and advertising agency holding company in the world.
