As per Albert Einstein, 'The only source of knowledge is experience,' then why Quora? - Quora

As per Albert Einstein, 'The only source of knowledge is experience,' then why Quora? - Quora: But regardless of whether or not that quotation comes from Einstein, it isn't even the full quote that is usually stated. The full quote is "Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience." Seen as a whole, it is evident that the purpose of the words is to distinguish the differences between information and knowledge

I have seen a quote that provides a different viewpoint:

"It seems that the human mind has first to construct forms independently before we can find them in things. Kepler’s marvelous achievement is a particularly fine example of the truth that knowledge cannot spring from experience alone but only from the comparison of the inventions of the intellect with observed fact."

Einstein, Albert. Ideas And Opinions (p. 266). Crown Publishing Group.

So, from that quote, I think Einstein would see value in Quora's ability to convey the inventions of the intellect.

I have seen a quote that is kind of similar to the queried quote, but definitely reveals a different context:

"Pure logical thinking cannot yield us any knowledge of the empirical world; all knowledge of reality starts from experience and ends in it."

Einstein, Albert. Ideas And Opinions (p. 271). Crown Publishing Group.
