Is Airbnb's Rebranding Enough to Overshadow Its Legal Troubles?: Last year, the New York state attorney general subpoenaed Airbnb's user data to look at who was breaking the housing law. Airbnb fought the subpoena, but the judge's decision in the case eventually favored the AG's ability to go after the data. The company agreed to provide anonymized user data this spring; the attorney general has a year to look over it and identify lawbreakers.
